Cambridge asparagus
​A family run business offering mouth watering asparagus direct to the public, selected grocers and quality restaurants.

We have been growing and selling asparagus since 1998. The majority of our asparagus is grown under glass and polythene allowing for a very early crop and the first British asparagus of the year.
​
We start our harvest a good 5 to 6 weeks before the outdoor asparagus season begins. Grown under excellent conditions, in ideal soil and a more controlled environment, our select asparagus is arguably some of the tastiest you will find.

Selecting the best quality produce from our fantastic choice of local suppliers is always exciting. We write our menus based on what our suppliers have seasonally and by sourcing as much as we can locally we support our local farmers and growers. This extends to further afield for specialist farms like our delicious micro-herbs which come from Syan vertical farm in Northampton, which are a completely sustainable farming business.

Vertical farming
Vertical farming involves growing food on multiple levels, in vertically stacked layers. Syan Farms aims to provide people with better quality food in a sustainable, environmentally-conscious way.
Farmable space is at a premium due to the increasing urbanisation of our countryside. Vertical farming techniques tackle this issue head-on by providing us with an efficient, space-saving and eco-friendly way of growing healthy, nutritious food. Syan Farms use rainwater harvesting systems and air source heat pumps to achieve ideal growing conditions, and our farms are powered using the latest innovations in solar energy.
